The Ulster Farmers’ Union is seeking to recruit a policy officer based out of its head office in Belfast. This will be a challenging and wide ranging job working as part of the UFU policy team, the successful candidate will be covering dairy and rural affairs.

The job involves assisting with;
• The development of Union policy
• The servicing of Union central committees
• Representing the views of the Union across a range of media
• The lobbying process

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience;
• Have a third level qualification in a relevant subject
• Have a good knowledge of or interest in Northern Ireland agriculture
• Have good communication skills
• Be computer literate
• Be willing to work hard, be ambitious and a good team member
• Hold a driving licence
