• Somerset Council and partners have been awarded a new and innovative five-year Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR), with academic partners University of West of England (UWE) and University College London (UCL). The Collaboration is designed to build the capacity of Somerset Council to do research, together with our communities, on the social determinants of health, particularly as they affect people facing the greatest disadvantage.
• Manage and ensure delivery of the five year, £4.9million programme, taking responsibility for all aspects of budget, programme, contract and people management within the HDRC.
• Be an integral part of organisational development towards a culture of being research active and evidence informed.
• 37 hours per week
• 33 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays).
