Applications are invited for the full-time post of Chief Executive, Wessex Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association (Wessex RFCA) based in Taunton. This is a Crown Service (Civil Service Grade B1 equivalent) post that will become vacant on 30 September 2023. Wessex RFCA. The Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Associations (RFCAs) are central government bodies with Crown status, each with its own scheme of association, drawn up by Defence Council regulations under the Reserve Forces Act 1996 (RFA 96). The RFCAs are arms-length bodies from the Ministry of Defence (MOD) with a central secretariat based in London, the Council of RFCAs (CRFCA). One of thirteen regional RFCAs, Wessex RFCA exists exclusively to provide support to specified components in Defence.
