• Somerset Council and partners have been awarded a new and innovative five-year Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR), with academic partners University of West of England (UWE) and University College London (UCL). The Collaboration is designed to build the capacity of Somerset Council to do research, together with our communities, on the social determinants of health, particularly as they affect people facing the greatest disadvantage.
• Lead development of the data management, research governance policies and processes required for the Council to undertake academic research on the social and economic determinants of health.
• Drive business development of academic partnerships across the organisation to generate funding for high impact research conducted in, with, and for the benefit of Somerset residents.
• 37 hours per week
