We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Downpatrick to assist with the appointment of a Driver / General Labourer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.59 - £15.85 per hour

Summary:

Working unsupervised or as part of a team, and in all weathers, the postholder will be mainly engaged in work in the Councils Building Maintenance division but in general terms will be required to carry out the following duties at play areas/amenity areas/cemeteries and other sites as directed.

Responsibilities:
• Drive and be responsible for allocated vehicles. Duties will include: vehicle checks,required routine maintenance (eg oi; and water checks) and cleaning; transport goods, equipment and personnel; assisting in the loading and unloading of vehicles using where appropriate mechanical aids; completing of associated paperwork.
