If you answered yes, our Whiteshell Laboratories (WL) site located near Pinawa, Manitoba is looking for a Waste Characterization Officer (WCO). The WCO is a key member of the Waste Management team and will assume responsibility for Waste Certification processes to inspect and verify that packages are compliant with all applicable regulations and requirements and ensure proper waste handling and processing procedures are being followed. The expansion of the Waste Management department is essential to the success of the WL Restoration Project and the WCO will fulfil a vital role to ensure our waste shipments are executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with regulatory and company-wide requirements.
