JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Senior Director Mitigation, Planning & Research, the Planning Analyst is responsible for integrating physical planning theory and practices with disaster management trends through the use of hazard maps and other risk management platforms.The incumbent is also responsible for the reviewing of development plans submitted for approval, national disaster plans and specific national response plans. MAIN FUNCTIONS: Review of development plans from the Town Planning Department and Parish Councils. Assist in developing detailed contingency plans, to meet the effects of likely disaster; for government agencies and parish councils. Review/incorporation of Building Code Zoning, physical planning issues in national plan development. Develop, review or assess where applicable contingency plans for private sector companies.
