Job Summary

UFV invites applications for a full-time, permanent Library Technician to work at the new Mission campus, for an anticipated start date of July 2, 2024.

The Library Technician provides front line support and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and the general public, both in person and at a distance. The incumbent undertakes assigned specialized duties that support a wide variety of library services and functions.

The Technician opens and closes the library and ensures that the facility and services are functional for library users. The incumbent performs the complete range of library circulation activities using the Integrated Library System (ILS) and the University student records system.

The Technician ensures a pleasant and safe learning environment for library users.
