Chemistry is a high profile and popular subject in the school, with high uptake for A Level and many girls go on to university to study Medicine, Veterinary medicine, Biochemistry or Biomedical-related sciences. The school prides itself on the superb support offered to A Level applicants within these disciplines and core to this is the excellent provision in A Level Chemistry offered by the Chemistry department.

The department is supported by knowledgeable and skilled technicians, allowing the delivery of practicals in a timely manner. Chemistry has a broad range of equipment including quickfit glassware and heating mantles for the A Level organic chemistry experiments, as well as standard chemicals, which support the experimental components of the key stages.
