ABOUT THE ROLE

The Head of Department has responsibility for leading their Department throughout the School, in fostering a love of the subject at every level and promoting it within the School. They will ensure high standards of teaching and learning, promote high achievement, efficient use of resources and a creative development of the curriculum. The Head of Computer Science will be an experienced and well-qualified graduate with an innovative approach to Computing and the energy and ambition to drive the subject forward, both on a department and whole-school level. We recognise that digital skills are key for our pupils and would be interested to hear from individuals who have experience in building knowledge of these on a whole school basis. This post is suitable for both experienced Heads of Department, and those looking for their first Head of Department position.
