About the role

As the Safety Specialist, you will drive safety performance and support the operations achieve ‘excellence in operations’ by influencing and working directly with the business stakeholders – internal and external, to build and maintain competent and confident people that are aligned and committed to a proactive Health & Safety culture and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment is maintained.

Key responsibilities
• Provide visible leadership within operations, actively role model the GFG Values and encourage a collaborative and high-performing culture of continuous improvement.
• Regularly monitor and assess environment, procedures, equipment and installations
• Implement any required Risk Management and Management of Change strategies in line with the company and legislative requirements
• Facilitate WHS training within operations to support an effective implementation of systems as well as build capability within the operations
