Functional therapist is required for Ashley Lodge Nursing Home in Tully East, Co.Kildare

ROLE OF THE BE FIT THERAPY TEAM:

The Be Fit Therapy Team exists to deliver high quality physiotherapy and occupational therapy services to clients. The key responsibilities of the service are to provide on-going assessment and treatment to clients in the Nursing Home setting. Therapeutic management utilises a range of physical, behavioural and cognitive modalities to monitor, maintain and where possible regain function following surgery, illness, injury, dysfunction or disease. There is also a key role in health promotion.

JOB PURPOSE:
• Assists qualified physiotherapists and occupational therapists with the delivery and implementation of individual or group treatment programmes, within the Nursing Home setting.
• Completes interventions for clients assessed by OT and PT.
• Undertakes direct and indirect patient care in accordance with programmes set out by OT and PT.
