Job Description

Objective

The Chef de Partie is typically responsible for: Mise-en-place preparation and freshness. The position embodies a variety of responsibilities including preparation, cooking and presentation, Assisting the Sous Chef in menu creation, recipes and developing dishes.

Specific Responsibilities Include
• Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking station.
• Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout all food storage, preparation, and service areas.
• Minimize food waste.
• Exercise proper portion control for all items.
• Preparing and presenting dishes within specialty and establish standards.
• Be able to create a special of the day meal.
• Training and managing junior kitchen staff assigned.
