Job Description

Objective

Assist the students' instruction in Small Animal Anesthesia Labs and anesthesia/surgery rotations at the Small Animal Clinic (SAC).

Essential Functions

Instructional Activities:
• Participation in different anesthesia skills courses across the curriculum.
• Instruction, scholarship and clinical service are expected.

Junior Surgery and Anesthesia Laboratory
• Receiving and evaluation of patients for surgery labs
• Maintenance and management of anesthesia/monitoring equipment
• Anesthesia protocols planning
• Participation in preop and postop rounds

Instruction
• Instruction of students from premedication (catheter placement, induction, intubation), patient initial prep, basic anesthesia maintenance, transport into the surgery suite, and supervision of the... More Detail
