Introduction

We’re seeking a Procurement Officer interested in joining a super fast growing, supplier of food products, in Malmesbury Region, Western Cape. Despite being really large, the company is family owned, and places a huge premium on traditional values such as humility and respect.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage entire procurement process.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with Suppliers.
• Recognize purchase needs, approach suppliers for quotes, raise POD on chosen suppliers, ensure timeous delivery.
• Supplier contract negotiation (prices; rebates; discounts; payment terms).
• Responsibility for portion of stock.
• Reporting on the Purchase dept, orders, projected cashflows etc.
• Maintain, develop, and introduce Purchase SOP’s and Controls.

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably B Com Supply Chain, or similar.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
