ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: EVENTS AND AMENITIES

The University of Limpopo (UL) is standardising all events across different business units.

It is also improving/establishing different properties on campus to create world class

restaurants, guest houses and other tourist establishments. An Eventing and Amenities

Unit - in the Department of Marketing and Communication - will coordinate all these, and

the University seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and competent Unit Head.

Requirements:
• Marketing and/or Communication or Project Management or Sports

Management or Hospitality degree.
• Event management experience or understanding of the strategic value of eventing

as a marketing and communication tool.
• Knowledge of hospitality, restaurant management and/or sports management.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional management, planning, budgeting and reporting skills.
