Established as an Interdepartmental Executive Board (IEB), Te Puna Aonui's mandate is to ensure there is clear, joint accountability across government for work relating to the elimination of family violence and sexual violence.

We are a small unit, with a big role. We are on a journey to establish ourselves as a learning organisation and centre of expertise that stewards the Family Violence and Sexual Violence system and cross agency strategy – Te Aorerekura to collectively work in partnership with the communities we serve and always hold survivors, family, and whānau at the centre of everything we do.
