The beautiful inner hebridean island of Gigha is 7miles long and 1.5miles wide with 30 miles of coastline featuring indented rocky shores interspersed with white sandy beaches.

It is a very fertile island benefitting from the mild climate caused by the north atlantic drift of the gulf stream and has many attractions for tourists who enjoy the varied wildlife and walks.

There are approximately 160 residents on the island. A three bedroom furnished house is available to live in while on duty, this is situated next door to the surgery, in the middle of the village.
