The Simcoe County District School Board is accepting applications for the following position:

Summer Writing Contract: Summer STEAM Camp

15 hours to be completed by June 28, 2024

The successful candidate for the Summer Writing Contract will complete
• Revisions to the Junior and Intermediate STEAM camp programs for both in-person and virtual instruction, including new coding, STEAM and outdoor learning opportunities.
• Creation of formative assessment tasks aligned with the STEAM camp program
• Creation of a STEAM camp parent/guardian engagement session

Candidates will have demonstrated mathematics content and pedagogical knowledge in addition to effective instructional practices in the virtual classroom.

Successful applicants will be compensated at the Con-Ed Remedial Rate $46.50/hour

Required Qualifications
• An Ontario Teacher’s Certificate of Qualification
• A University Degree
• Qualifications to teach in two divisions (junior/intermediate preferred)
