Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Barrhead, is currently looking to recruit a Benefits and Discretionary Payments Officer / Client Advisor for a minimum of 3 months on a rate of £12.88/hour PAYE.

Responsibilities:

- To process applications accurately and to take applications and process in line with policy, procedures and national guidance.

- Provide excellent customer service.

- Provide an effective frontline support.

- Liaise with other departments and / or external agencies as appropriate.

- Receive, vet, administer and make decisions on applications Scottish Welfare Fund (SWF)

- Process applications in line with current legislation and regulations.

- Follow policies, procedures and guidelines which are in place.

- Keep up to date with current and new legislation relevant to responsibilities.

- Assist with initiating overpayment recovery.

- Deal with correspondence and enquiries pertaining to caseload.
