Posting #: 2024-76 Title: Prisoner Guard (Full Time) Department: Chilliwack RCMP - Public Safety and Social Development Duties: The incumbent in this class assists management to achieve an efficient operation within the RCMP Community Police Office through reliable performance in guarding duties, observing and complying with Municipal and RCMP policies and procedures; and observing and complying with safety practices.

The incumbent in this class will be required to perform a variety of guard, security and administrative duties, varying in degree of responsibility and complexity; ensuring the safety and security of prisoners while detained in the RCMP cellblock; monitoring and documenting in the log book all movement of prisoners in and out of cells and physical checks of prisoners as per RCMP policy; complete cellblock incident reports on suicide attempts involving prisoners or any high risk incidents...
