Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health) provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching and for professional and support staff.

UK Biobank is a large-scale biomedical database, the largest of its kind in the world, containing in-depth genetic and health information from half a million UK participants.

Together we work to answer some of the most important questions about the causes, prevention and treatment of disease – such as cancer, heart disease and stroke which strike in mid-later life.

We are seeking a Data Scientist (UK Biobank Health Outcomes) to lead a programme of work focused on enhancing the classification of health outcome data in the UK Biobank resource. This programme will be focused around enhancing the phenotyping of health outcomes and to generate research-ready health outcomes for the global research community.
