As the Senior Strategic Buyer you will be responsible for strategic procurement and contract management of a specified selection of direct and indirect categories. Delivering supplier value generation and performance optimisation, whilst meeting or exceeding quality and GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for category contract negotiations (spend c.£15MM per annum), ensuring the best total acquisition cost from current or new suppliers where further cost or service improvements can be achieved, whilst maintaining quality and regulatory standards
• Ensure the category supply base is developed to improve quality, service, technical competence and reliability
• Achieve year on year savings (Purchase Price Variance and non-PPV) for specified categories
• Lead purchasing activities to drive quality improvements with suppliers, liaising with the Quality function to identify and implement priorities
