Seasonal Environmental Field Labourer

Reporting to the Supervisor, Environmental Outreach & Sustainability, the Seasonal Environmental Field Labourer is responsible for the following:
• Assist in facilitating Community Tree Planting events led by planting partners by conducting site preparation, mowing, planting native trees and shrubs and pursuing ongoing maintenance of the restoration areas.
• Conduct Tree Planting demonstrations to volunteers of all ages and act as the liaison between planting partnership staff and community members.
• Assist with providing guidance and training to planting volunteers during Community Planting events, ensuring work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and operation of Township parks and parks facilities including trails, turf areas, landscaped areas, and park fixtures.
