As a Trainee Accountant you will provide support to both internal staff and external clients. Part of your role will involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities, these will include but are not limited to data entry, month end VAT Returns and management accounts and year-end financial accounts and tax returns.

Responsibilities will include:-

· Bookkeeping and data processing in accounts software, such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks etc.

· Assist with the preparation of VAT returns.

· Assist with the preparation of financial statements

· Assist with the preparation of management accounts

· Liaison with clients to build a rapport on an ongoing basis when completing work

· Carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations

· Ensuring completed work is accurate and professionally presented to senior members of staff.
