Are you looking for an exciting new role in a financially stable local authority?

We are looking for a CCAB / CIMA accountant, or AAT qualified accountant with a clear understanding of local authority procurement requirements, treasury management practices and VAT.

Key responsibilities will include:
• leading the procurement function to ensure that relevant legislation is complied with for all procurement activities across the Council
• managing the Council’s treasury management function to ensure that the annual Treasury Management Strategy is updated and approved, that sufficient funds are maintained to meet cashflow requirements and that surplus cash is invested in line with the Treasury Management Strategy to ensure the best return for the Council, in line with CIPFA guidance.
