Purposes

The Pacific Area Seminaries and Institutes of Religion is seeking a School Counsellor based in Tonga. This is a permanent full-time position located at Liahona Middle School.

Responsibilities

Our purpose is to help youth and young adults understand and rely on the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
• Has a bachelor’s degree in social work or equivalent education and experience. An ITEP counselling certificate would be advantageous
• Sound knowledge of current counselling practices, along with initiative, compassion and the ability to forge strong connections with Year 7-8 students will be highly regarded
