Job Description

The Pacific Area Finance Department is seeking to appoint an Accountant based at the Country Office in Nuku’alofa, Tonga. This is a permanent full-time position.

Responsibilities

As an Accountant, you will provide support to the finance functions supporting the administration of the Church within the Pacific Area. Primary responsibilities will include:
• Process, review and monitor invoices submitted for payment
• Review, correct and reconcile ledgers and other financial data including preparing journals and other adjustments
• Ensure completion and filing of statutory reports
• Ensure compliance with internal controls
• Support and liaise with key customers
• Assist in setting, controlling and monitory budgets
