The Role: GPS are delighted to be working alongside a long-standing engineering company who are currently seeking an XYZ CNC Machinist to join their Machining Department.

Working hours: 39 hours per week, working 7.30am-4pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am to 2.30pm on Friday.

Roles & Responsibilities:
• Operate and set XYZ machinery.
• Action tool changes and adjust speed movements.
• Work with a range of mild and stainless-steel materials.
• Adhere to Lean processes to reduce waste and minimise downtime.
• Read and interpret technical specifications/drawings.
• Ability to use inspection equipment to check own work.

Skills & Experience:
• Proven knowledge working with XYZ CNC machinery - essential
• Conventional turning and milling experience - desirable
• Offline programming experience - advantageous
• Apprentice trained or timeserved considered.
