Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

Location: New Ross Community Hospital ('NRCH'), New Ross, Co Wexford Y34 NH39.

Contract: Part-time Permanent (18 hours per week)

Reporting relationship: Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Nursing Staff.

Details:

NRCH is a HIQA registered 35 bedded nursing home (voluntary and not for profit). It provides a 24 hour care facility for older persons (men and women) who need long term or short term care (respite and convalescence), palliative care and non-acute medical care.

Schedule - the candidate will generally be required to work 12-hour and 6 hour shifts and be able to work days, nights and weekends.

Main Responsibilities of a Healthcare Assistant are as follows but not limited to:

(1) Assisting the client in their daily activities of living while at the same time promoting their independence.

(2) Providing a high standard of care in compliance with NRCH's policies and procedures.
