Occupational Health Nurse

Purpose

The Occupational Health Nurse will deliver health and safety programs and services to the Organization’s employees. This role will work with the Corporate Administration team and Management to recommend programs and solutions to improve workplace safety.

II. Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as Occupational Health Nurse and Safety Officer 2
• Provide nursing care to injured or ill workers, treatment and referral of all injuries and occupational and non-occupational diseases
• Perform work activities which are within the scope allowed by the nursing profession by participating in medical examinations, and if more extensive examinations are needed, refer the same to a physician or accompany to nearest hospital, as necessary.
• Validate medical certificate for fit to work clearance
