Principal Advisor – Integrated Strategy

Seeking an experienced Policy Specialist to guide and support effective development of Council's strategies. Manage cross-organisational projects, provide strategic planning and policy support, and mentor up and coming members of the team.

Reporting to the Strategic Planning Manager your role, working in the greater team of 17 people.

You’ll recognise the importance of the role as a Treaty partner and understand how that underpins Gisborne District Council’s work.

Duties include
• Providing experienced policy advice across a variety of local government issues to facilitate effective development and delivery of Council strategies and plans. Lead the development of Council’s strategic planning framework and continually identify opportunities to link plans of other departments within the framework.
