Executive Assistant

Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Māori Partnerships, you will be responsible for delivering professional and high-quality administrative support. This support is focused primarily on the Director but extends to encompass the Engagement and Māori Partnerships Hub as well.

This is a fixed term position, until February 2026.

You’ll recognise the importance of the role as a Treaty partner and understand how that underpins Gisborne District Council’s work.

Duties include
• Field enquiries and correspondence, prioritise and coordinate responses, and ensure that the hub director and other appropriate staff are informed and updated appropriately.
• Manage the hub Director’s diary to ensure appropriate allocation of time and effective arrangement of appointments.
• Arrange meetings including minute taking and additional support for internal and external meetings.
