Overview

Our client, a well-known and established wine estate located in the Franschhoek region, has a vacant position for an experienced and talented HEAD CHEF.

The estate is renowned for its upmarket restaurant and tasting room, picnics, wedding and event facilities and gardens, to mention a few. The estate also provides several upmarket holiday cottages.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years previous experience as a Head Chef, with a great passion for the industry, ability to create innovative menus, up to date with culinary trends and ability to lead and manage a profitable kitchen operation.

Position Requirements
• Culinary Qualification and proven track record.
• Previous experience in similar position
• Creative in menu planning
• Experience in stock control, purchasing and costing
• Kitchen staff management
• Working knowledge of service within the food and beverage sector
• Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
