Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Effluent Plant Operator to be based at the Springs site. The successful candidate will report to the Services Superintendent .

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To reduce the solids contaminating waste water and to ensure that the company does not get penalties from the municipality due to sending the contaminated water into the sewage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Discharge effluent must meet Municipality specification Fault finding on pumps Ensure That the agitator is running Cleaning any floating waste Ensure that the lamellas are not exposed Ensure that the system is reacting to the chemical dosage and adjust accordingly Do jar test every 3 hours Ensure there is enough chemicals (coagulant, flocculent, caustic and lime) Draw chemicals from engineering stores and monitor usage...
