The Opportunity: Safety Advisor

Full-Time, Permanent bargaining unit position, based out of Whitehorse, Yukon.

Who we are: Yukon Energy operates electricity generation, transmission, and distribution systems across the Yukon on the Traditional Territories of multiple Yukon First Nations. Building and maintaining strong, respectful, and productive relationships with Yukon First Nations is critical to the Corporation’s ongoing success.

What will you do: Work in a team-based environment and perform a range of Health and Safety activities for the Corporation. Conducts various safety orientations, audits, and inspections; conducts accident/incident investigations; and develops, reviews and updates safe work procedures, and practices. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of documentation in compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, and codes.
