In the case of Ćuprija, an international street race named after the athletic legend Aleksandar Aca Petrović has helped to achieve this goal.

Aca Petrović (1934-2006), who was a geography teacher and a graduate of the Faculty of Science, Department of Geography, dedicated his entire life to athletics. He was responsible for finding and honing talents, and his efforts produced a galaxy of top athletes who gave Ćuprija more than 40 medals from the Balkan championship, 14 from the European championships, and one world record.
