Position Information

Anson Street School is a School for Special Purposes that caters for students across Kindergarten to Year 12 with diverse and specific needs. The school accommodates students with physical and intellectual disabilities, Autism, mental health disorders and challenging behaviours. There are 19 support classes, two Tutorial classes and a Suspension Centre. Each class operates with a teacher and a support officer. Of the 140 students enrolled, 33% identify as Aboriginal.

The school is purpose–built with full wheelchair accessibility. Specialist spaces within the school include sensory gym and playground; bouldering wall; hydrotherapy spa; gymnasium; café; library; hall and a variety of outdoor play areas.
