Hello housesitters, This is an opportunity to live on a family run remote high country property for 5 weeks during May. (50mins from Blenheim) I am the daughter of the current farmer owner wife duo of the property… and have lived back home for about 7 years now after I accidentally went bankrupt…. I kind of got stuck and then fell in love with the farm again. I’ve been renovating a derelict wooden whare hut that was to be burnt, and resized it into a cottage that is cosy and comfortable enough to live in with all the mods and cons - but no underfloor heating or double glazing! (Oh and no dish washer????) In those 7 years, I’ve accumulated a menagarie of sorts, as I prefer to save and heal animals, not to kill them. What will need looking after is … - 3 dogs - 1 horse - 2 very large pet pigs - and maybe a small mob of ewes and lambs if the winter is still dry (we are currently in a drought).
