Our client, a leading Chemical Manufacturing company based in Durban, is looking to fill the position of Warehouse & Transport Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervision of resources including staff.
• Management of the transport function:
• manage and achieve cost efficiencies and pricing.
• comparative cost models of internal costs v external costs of transport management.
• forecast of monthly transport costs.
• monitor and manage transport risks.
• manage vehicle maintenance.
• manage forklift utilisation and contacts in the event of breakdowns.
• Warehouse management:
• manage stock cycle counts and quarterly stock takes for all sites simultaneously.
• track and control aged and expired stock.
• standardisation of warehouse systems and processes across all sites.
• implementation and management of stock systems ensuring appropriate stock movement controls are in place.
• Experience with barcoding and scanning an advantage.
