A Personal Care Assistant is an individual who provides support services to assist clients with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional. The Personal Care Assistant may work in a variety of settings, to include home or schools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities Demonstrates competence in performing the necessary skills and perform those skills on the plan of care Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services essential to the client's health Assists with transfers and ambulation Aids teacher in helping student learn and provides feedback to student and supervisors/teachers (if applicable) Performs incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan (if applicable) In school setting, accompanies student on bus to and from...
