Community Support Worker

The Community Support Worker supports the capacity of schools as hubs within communities to strategically gather and deploy school-community services and resources in ways that attain better outcomes for students, families and surrounding neighborhoods.

Responsibilities May Include But Are Not Limited To

Student School Readiness

Increase family, community and student engagement

facilitate and/or coordinate workshops or support to groups, parenting skills and other student needs;

Support families of students who have attendance issues;

refer and/or facilitate learners access to resources in the community, social services, professional services and government programs;

advocate for clients with institutions, landlords, etc.;

maintain client records and provide continual updates to Principals, Vice Principals and teachers;

Create and/or facilitate programs to support well-being and success;
