• The Specialty RN is responsible for the overall coordination and direction of nursing care.
• The Specialty RN provides clinical leadership, particularly in complex or unpredictable patient/client care settings.
• The Specialty RN has the knowledge, skill and judgment needed to provide competent, evidence-based nursing practice.
• As a member of a collaborative care team, the Specialty RN works with other disciplines to coordinate care to achieve patient/family outcomes.
• The Specialty RN contributes to the efficient and effective functioning of the service/unit and coordination of patient care.
• The Specialty RN complies with documentation processes at sites.
