Prototyping, test and other engineering tasks in part time job

We are looking for a mechanical engineering student to help our mechanical R&D engineers in their daily work, and to aid our manufacturing department with production tools, fixtures and root-cause analysis for various minor quality issues.

This is an exciting position that will give you plenty of learning opportunities and hands-on experience with many aspects of product development, and working hours can be adapted to your study-schedule and exams.

Examples of what you will do in NKT Photonics for 15-20 hours/week in average:
• Preparing drafts of technical drawings and -specifications using SolidWorks.
• Designing brackets and fixtures for test-setups and 3D-printing the result.
• Smaller product maintenance tasks (root-cause analysis & designing fix for problem)
• Reverse-engineering of older files from Inventor
• Assemble and modify prototypes of lasers and perform tests on them.
