Reports to: Principal

Position Type: Part Time during School Year- Monday and Tuesday

The Lower Kootenay Band, near Creston, is seeking to fill the position of a .5 Grade 1 Teacher for the Bands K 7 school. Yaqan Nukiy School is certified and accredited by both the BC Ministry of Education and the First Nations School Association. the successful candidate will work on both Monday and Fridays.

Teachers are provided with ongoing professional development opportunities through the FNSA.

POSITION SUMMARY

The start date of this position is August 27th, 2024 and will end June 20, 2025. This position involves the provision of instruction, preparation, assessment, classroom management, professional development and school meetings, community and parental relations and adherence to all Yaqan Nukiy School and BC Ministry of Education policies and procedures.
