Job Title Receiving and Despatch Clerk

Function Plant / Warehouse

Location Olifantsfontein, Gauteng

Role Summary

To control the receipt of Finished goods and Raw materials. To receive, control and despatch stock. Operate a high reach.

Role Responsibilities

Receiving:

Ÿ Receive delivery vehicle

Ÿ Check delivery note, quantities, batch number and appearance

Ÿ Instruct Forklift Operator on destination of stock

Ÿ Handle and manage incoming goods and materials received

Ÿ Perform and execute unloading and unpacking of goods received from

Ÿ Toller’s/Depots/Suppliers and plants

Ÿ Inspect and verify the condition of goods received

Ÿ Count and verify received goods

Ÿ Reconcile goods received against invoices/delivery notes

Ÿ Communicate discrepancies in goods received to the Supervisor or Manager

Ÿ Ensure that all necessary documents are endorsed if any discrepancies

Ÿ Do random weighing of pallets on scale provided to check if tonnage is correct
