The Role

My client are a market leader in the fixings and fasteners market and have been supplying their valued customers since the 80’s. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who is looking to advance their career in a growing business and can take over and lead the department in the coming years. This role will suit an operational or strategic buyer who has 3+ years experience and is looking to progress.

Responsibilities
• Manage mins/max’s to ensure stock levels are at the optimum level
• Source multiple suppliers to mitigate risk and ensure the best prices/quality
• Expedite orders with suppliers to ensure low number of stock out situations
• Negotiate prices with suppliers
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to update on deliveries/stock levels

About You
• 3+ years experience in a procurement role
• Experience in the construction/manufacturing/engineering industries
• General understanding of components such as fixings/fasteners/bolts/nuts
