Summary: The Medical Coder is responsible for oversight of ICD coding to insure compliance with agency and industry standards and applicable state and federal regulations. Objectives of the position include: Improved compliance with timeliness, accuracy and content of ICD Coding in accordance with applicable regulations and industry standards for home health and hospice. Responsible for appropriate coding of home care plans following the current coding conventions. Allows for consistency and scalability as new markets are acquired and additional performance improvement priorities are identified.
