Brunel is currently looking for a Steel Fixer to work on a big oil and gas project for one of our clients in Georgetown, Guiana.

Responsibilities:
• Preparing and setting up machinery and equipment
• Interpreting the working drawings
• Cutting and bending rebar to size in case necessary
• Assembling the rebar thinking forward in order to efficiently install future phases
• Connecting/braiding the different parts using iron wire or welding
• Monitoring quality and safety based on regulations
• Assembling prefab rebar elements
• Performing welding work
• Consulting with colleagues (e.g. concrete carpenters)
• Collecting required materials and tools
• Transporting the product
• Placing the rebar construction in or above the formwork

Requirements:
• Previous experience
• Concrete formwork experience
