Eastern Shore Cartage (ESC) Environmental, a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, is a solid waste company that services Sheet Harbour and surrounding area. We are currently seeking the qualifications and expertise of a Side Load Truck Driver based out of Sheet Harbour, NS.

Job Summary:

The Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the of a Class 3 Side Loader Refuse vehicle. The operator is also responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining the equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Drive Side Load tandem truck in a safe and efficient manner on assigned routes to fill contractual requirements

Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner

Responsible for daily pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks assigned

Check in with Dispatcher to determine what time to leave and return

Load and unload heavy materials, tools, and equipment under varying traffic and road conditions
